I am Kareem Ahmed, a student of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cincinnati.Â
I love working on complex, meaningful and transformative problems.
Currently, I am working as a Hardware Security Researcher at the UC Data and System Security Lab.
I have been a science geek since childhood, and the "kick" in the discovery hasn't left me since. Choosing ECE was an easy choice because it is an umbrella for most of the things I am interested in. Naturally, my extracurriculars followed.
Currently, I am focused on making the most of my time at UC through research and technical projects while seeking internship opportunities to expand my horizons.
My interests are a blend of hardware and software, spanning embedded systems, CubeSats, machine learning, and low-level design. I enjoy the precision that engineering demands, whether I am:
Analyzing pre-silicon vulnerabilities as a Hardware Security Fellow in the UC Data & System Security Lab.
Designing power systems for the HabSat-1 project as a technical member of UC CubeCats.
Deepening my knowledge of low-level design and staying current with evolving machine learning developments.
